Paradise On Broadway is a full bar and Restaurant in the heart of Long Beach. This unique establishment has been owned by Michael Barber for over ten years and has been a well known landmark establishment since the 1980's. It has been known by a variety of names such as “The Birds of Paradise,” “Paradise Café,” “Paradise Bar & Grill” and just simply “The Bird.” For over 30 years, Paradise has had many exciting changes, but still kept its quality food and service, along with its variety of live entertainment. Inside the newly remodeled interior space, you will find historical pieces of Old Long Beach, intertwined with modern chic style that only Paradise can provide. Examples of these pieces of history include the bar top which came from a Bank of America building from the 1920's. The Falcon located in the bar area was atop the flag pole at Cooper Arms in Long Beach. It's estimated weight is at 1000 pounds. Lastly, the front door was taken from Morey's Music Store located on Pine Street in Long Beach. That location was there for half a century.
National entertainers have brought their musical talents to Paradise for many years. The musical industry is something “The Bird” cherishes here at the Original Piano Bar that we once were. Drag Bingo, Karaoke, Sing-a-longs, Acoustical, and Club nights are just a few things that have been added to the wonderful acts that have already captured the hearts of the diverse group of people that walk through the doors of Paradise. Charities and Fundraising Organizations have partnered up with the Paradise throughout the years, offering fun and exciting ways to give back to the community. Paradise has something for everyone!
